Our alpacas make appearances at various outdoor events, including open days, staff appreciation days, and festivals. They are always a hit with the public and add a unique and charming touch to any occasion.
We ensure their safety and the public's by keeping them in a penned area where they can roam freely. This setup allows everyone to enjoy their company without any worries.
Alpacas are gentle and social animals that love interacting with people of all ages. They're great at reducing stress and creating memorable experiences. Our team handles them with care and ensures they are comfortable and well-taken care of during events.
Guests can even have the opportunity to feed and pet the alpacas, creating lasting memories that they'll cherish forever.
Our alpacas also pay heartwarming visits to Nursing Homes, bringing joy as residents light up with delight in their presence.
These calm creatures gracefully wander through the Homes, encouraging people to pet and stroke them, creating moments of joy and warmth for all. It's a lovely sight to witness the alpacas spreading smiles to everyone they meet.
Interacting with animals has been shown to have numerous benefits for mental and emotional well-being, particularly for elderly individuals. The gentle nature of alpacas can help reduce stress, anxiety, and feelings of loneliness, fostering a sense of connection and positivity.
Many Nursing Homes incorporate animal-assisted therapy programs as part of their resident care, recognizing the profound impact that animals can have on improving quality of life. Alpacas, with their peaceful and friendly demeanor, are ideal partners in these therapeutic interventions, creating unforgettable moments of joy and companionship.
Throughout the previous year, we embarked on several excursions with our alpacas to nearby Croghan Hill for various gatherings.
Situated in County Offaly, Ireland, Croghan Hill stands at 234 meters (768ft) and is just a brief 10-minute drive from Hilltop Farm.
This hill represents the vestiges of an extinct volcano emerging from the Bog of Allen, providing breathtaking vistas of the surrounding plains. Known historically as Brí Éile, it holds deep significance in Irish mythology and is revered as a sacred location.
A point of interest nearby is the discovery of the Old Croghan Man, an ancient bog body, which adds an element of historical allure to the area. For further exploration, consider visiting the village of Croghan situated at the southern foothill of the hill.
If you are considering taking a stroll on the Hill and wish to incorporate something unique into your experience, we would be more than happy to assist you.
